ColdBow Arcade hosts Troy and Chris dive right in to the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption 2. One of us love it, and the other is Chris. Hear both of our opinions as we discuss Red Dead 2 in great length (NO SPOILERS!). We also discuss the video games Baldur's Gate and Divinity - both based off of Dungeon's and Dragons. Finally, listen in as they discuss the topic game, Firewatch - developed by Campo Santo under brilliant minds like Chris Remo and Olly Moss. We do discuss spoilers for Firewatch, which start at almost exactly at the hour mark.
Welcome to ColdBow Arcade! The newest special installment of the ColdBow Podcast. This new special is devoted entirely to, you guessed it, video games. Chris and Troy are the hosts for this episode. Join them as they take a deep dive into games they've been playing, including the indie they played just for this show: Guacamelee!
Chris has the Coldbros watch professional wrestling. More specifically tries to show them how wrestling can be just as entertaining of a media as television or movies. We analyze Chris' favorite wrestling match of all time CM Punk vs John Cena. So get your cans of mountain dew ready, open up a bag of flaming hot Cheetos, and strap yourselves in for this one because Stone Cold said so!
Check out Chris' article here: https://goo.gl/HnhEV7 - where he gives an in-depth analysis on wrestling, CM Punk, and John Cena. It's definitely worth the read!
This episode is brought to you by the late great Leslie Nielsen. Surely if you've learned anything from us, it's that you can't take yourself too seriously. This is at the heart of our conversation as Jake, Troy, Scott, Chris, and Reese comb the IMDb archives for our favorite movie spoofs. With the only rule being that the spoof can't have the word "movie" in the title, we delve in to some of the greatest comedic films of all time. But alas, there can only be one goat spoof, a lone star if you will, but you'll have to listen to find out which we choose!
The Coldbros Jake, Reese, Chris, and Troy talk horror films and other, less scary, Halloween films that Reese can handle. We talk about what makes a good horror film like timing and music. We talk a bit about Horror sub-genres like the “found footage” films like Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity, Quarantine, Cloverfield, and others. This episode gets a little creepy, so be warned. Reese genuinely gets a little scared. Does he make it to the end? Do we make him cry? Does he poop himself out of fear? You’ll have to listen to find out.
Join us as Scott, Chris, Reese and half of Jake discuss their GOAT fight scenes in movie history. Keeping it par for the course, we don't have a real rubric for rating or voting, so don't ask us what they are. If you pay real close attention you can hear the half of Jake we lost!
The age of comic book movies is upon us. Some are getting tired of it, while others are embracing it. In Episode 17 of The Coldbow Podcast, Troy, Jake, Reese, Scott, and Chris discuss our favorite comic book films that are not part of the mainstream Marvel and DC canon. The rules are very relaxed here. Come in and listen and you may walk away with a new set of films to put on your watch list.
Listen in as Cold Bros bond over hip-hop Underground Legend Nujabes. Music tends to make people have an emotional reaction and this musician made us feel all the feels. This one is going to get sappy guys. Join us on our most tender episode where we tell each other how much we love and appreciate each other and how much an artist's music can still mean to us even after they have passed away.
Reese, Scott, Chris, Troy and Jake have a discussion about the 1993 classic Tombstone. Starring: Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Powers Booth, Michael Biehn, Stephen Lang, Thomas Haden Church, Michael Rooker, Bill Paxton and Sam Elliot. Directed by: George P. Cosmatos. Some of us liked it, some of us will fight you if you don't like it, some didn't like it, one of us changed our mind (kinda) part way through the recording. Listen to what the Coldbros have to say about this one-liner machine of a masterpiece!
